Rather than harvesting cocoons before the moth= emerges, the yarn is spun from naturally opened non-mulberry silk cocoons,= honoring a more compassionate approach to craftsmanship. Every thread is h= and-spun using techniques that have been passed down through generations of= master weavers in West Bengal, resulting in a silk with beautiful texture = and character. Our striped textiles are woven exclusively in the historic town of Maheshwa= r by a local women's weaving society. Their origins date back to the vision= ary Queen Ahilya Bai Holkar, whose refined aesthetic shaped the Maheshwari = weaving tradition. Inspired by the architecture of Maheshwar Fort, these fa= brics are distinguished by their elegant stripes, geometric borders, and ti= meless simplicity. Each pillow is completely unique.
